An authentic Chilean restaurant called VALPARAISO Restaurant Cafe, established since August 1998, located in the town of Union City, New Jersey. The name of the restaurant which is VALPARAISO was named after a very important and well respected city and also known as a port (PUERTO PRINCIPAL) in Chile because of its history. In addition, the owners and creators of the establishment whom are HECTOR & BERTA SOLARI are not only running the establishment but are known as true pioneers to the Chilean Community in NY & NJ since their migration to the US in the early 1960's. However, VALPARAISO Restaurant Cafe, has been more than just a restaurant. It has been like a center or better yet a HOME to many Chileans or foreiners of Chile. In this home, one can experience the culture and the true essence of Chile through its food, music and dance. Thanks to this establishment and great effort the culture of Chile has been reunited and maintained. ViVa ChiLe!!!
